The heart of the camp beats at the central fire, where we come together to sing, connect as a community, and connect with the land. THE WORKSHOPS

Participatory workshops are at the heart of our festival, offering far more than just a moment of learning: they are spaces for exploration, connection, and transformation. Through them, you can nurture your creativity, explore your voice, deepen your listening and your connection to nature and your body, discover new practices, learn songs and rhythms from around the world, and experience the power and magic of collective transmission.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At the core of our workshops lies this essence: Music breathes within all: the voice, the body, the land, our shared creativity...
We believe that music and dance are not luxuries or professions reserved for a few—they are ancient technologies of connection, healing, belonging, and becoming.
At Jamhouse Camp, we return to music as a way of life and remember our nature as creative and expressive beings. Because sound, movement, and creative expression are sacred, essential, and alive in all of us!

The workshops offered at camp are designed to welcome all levels, regardless of your musical or physical experience. You’re welcome to bring your own instruments in some contexts, and sometimes instruments will be provided. Otherwise, all you need is your voice, your body, your presence, and most importantly, your curiosity! We have an incredible team of facilitators ready to sing, move, and play with you!”

Meet the founder

Emma - Jam Camp (3).png

Jamhouse Camp is a project guided by the creative vision of Emma Anders. Artist, musician, producer, outdoor guide and nature connection mentor, she is known as the Jamhouse Mama and has tended its ever-evolving garden since its beginnings in 2010. She is deeply passionate about creating spaces for connection, expression, transformation and collaboration - and bringing people together from all walks of life.
She is the founder of the Jamhouse label and studio, where she mentors and supports artists in sharing their gifts, and nurtures a blossoming ecosystem of music with powerful messages.

Marked by the magic of camp in her youth and having spent years as a camp counselor, she has long dreamed of bringing this camp-like experience to life and contributing a unique flavour to the festival scene. Weaving each thread with intention, she finds joy in curating nourishing collective experiences as part of her creative expression, while nurturing her commitment to building bridges in this world.

Leading with her heart and stepping boldly into the world she wishes to see, Emma's work is guided by this wish: that we may reconnect deeply with nature and the innate wisdom within, embody our truth and sovereignty, share our gifts in this lifetime, and sing more love and kindness into the world. Because the world needs us shining our light, in service, listening deeply, remembering our interconnection and our belonging to one another.

A lover of life and constantly creating, she has carried out impactful community work and performed on stages around the globe. She's led ambitious wilderness expeditions, and seen over 10 000 km of this beautiful Earth by bicycle and canoe travel, sharing her journey through her multimedia exhibition "Footsteps, Rivers and Roads" and documentary "Cycling for Refugees". You might find her improvising live music at a local Ecstatic Dance, mentoring youth at Forest Schools, adventuring with her husky named Tuggy, facilitating somatic voice work or crafting epic vocal arrangements in the Jamhouse Studio.

In awe of life's mysteries and ever-learning, she revels in the living, unfolding magic of a jam. Because…life’s a JAM, ain’t it?
